SG 230 HV

Two-component methacrylate structural adhesive suitable for bonding fiber-reinforced composites in carbon and glass.

Specific product for naval and wind industry bonding.

SG 230HV ↓

  • methyl methacrylate → best balance between Tenacity and Torsion – mix ratio 10: 1 by volume
  • doesn’t provide abrasive contaminating actions → only light cleaning is required on composite supports
  • allows bonding with all thicknesses that occur → doesn’t exceed exothermically creating CO2 into the joint
  • very high thixotropy for vertical and filling applications
  • great functional gap-fill ≈ 1 mm ÷ 70 mm
  • Lloyd’s Register certificated (no. MATS / 4154/2) and ABS American Bureau of Shipping
  • versatile deposition / preparation periods (working-time) → fixing times (fix time) ≈ 35 ÷ 260 minutes selectable according to your site needs
  • Flexible → maximum elongation resistance ≈ 100 ÷ ​​150%
  • high tensile strength → 21 ÷ 24 MPa, normally the tearing of the glass and/or carbon fibers fails first
  • easy pre-dosed extrusion → through bi-cartridges 490 ML, 19 LT – 189 LT drums
  • can be mixed manually and not only through the dispensers → a dedicated guided procedure is available
